Description

Jumbo the elephant being pulled along a city street by elephants and horses. Jumbo is tied to two spools of thread. At the time of his death in 1885, he was part of the Barnum and Bailey Circus. Text on front: "Jumbo must go, because drawn by Willimantic Thread! America ahead! Willimantic Linen Co." Text on back: "N. H. Arnold, The largest dry goods and carpet house in Western Massachusetts. 2 & 3 Wilson Block, No. Adams. One of Arnold's many big drives."
