Description

First in a series of four cards (2017.18-1-4). A young girl in a red dress hangs on to the back of a little boy's dress while he looks down into a well. The little boy is holding a bar of Acme soap and the girl has bars of Acme soap in her basket. Text on the front: ""Use Acme Soap"/ Be careful Willie, don't fall!" The card is marked 1, center bottom. Text on the back: "Ask for Lautz bros. & Co's pure and healthy soaps. No so-called greases of adulterating material used in manufacturing them./ H. W. Clark & Co. Wholesale grocers, and commission merchants, 8, 9 & 10 Blackington Block, North Adams, Mass./Ask for Niagara Starch, the purest, the sweetest, the best." The printer is identified as The Major & Knapp Lith. Co. NY on the front, lower right.
