Description

Third in a series of four cards. A young girl looks watches as the little boy who fell down the well (see card 2) is rising up on the foam made from the Acme soap. Text on the front: ""Use Acme soap"/Why, the foam is bringing him up!" The card is marked 3, center bottom. Text on the back: "Ask for Lautz Bros. & Co's pure and healthy soaps. No so-called greases of adulterating material used in manufacturing them./ H. W. Clark & Co. Wholesale grocers, and commission merchants, 8, 9 & 10 Blackington Block, North Adams, Mass./Ask for Niagara Starch, the purest, the sweetest, the best." The printer is identified as The Major & Knapp Lith. Co. NY on the front, lower right. Note: H.W. Clark & Co. was located in the Blackinton, not Blackington, block.
